Our Neonatology Opportunity:
Neonatologists provide service within a level III neonatal unit within the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region. Program details include:
- The support of on-site maternal-fetal medicine services
- The support of a complete range of pediatric medical and surgical sub-specialists
- Neonatal air and ground transport
- State of the art imaging including: CT, MRI and unit based ultrasound machines & echocardiograms
- State of the art nuclear medicine scanning services with immediate availability
- The newest technology in incubators and invasive & non-invasive monitoring devices
- Respiratory therapy support (including complete training in neonatal resuscitation & ventilation)
- The newest technology in ventilators – including high frequency ventilation
- Multi-disciplinary team support of pharmacists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists & social work
- The opportunity for involvement in the development of the new mother baby unit for the RQHR which will provide a complete continuum of care for neonates including an independent surgical operating suite within the neonatal unit
The position is a full-time salaried position. Call would be shared with other physicians within the Neonatology group. We currently have 4.0 FTEs supported by Neonatal Clinical Assistants.
The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure to practice in Saskatchewan.
