Our Opportunity:

An opportunity exists to join a growing infectious diseases program in a tertiary care centre.  The specialist would join 2 other full-time specialists in a diverse practice and work mainly in a consultative role within the hospital setting. The ID clinic currently provides: services to approx. 80 HIV clients and to a number of transient clients who visit while in crisis, in hospital consults for complex clients and those with acquired infections requiring antibiotics and as well they see clients in our nursing homes.

The specialists work closely with our Medical Health Officers who cover community outbreaks, etc. and as well with our Infection Control Specialists – who work in our Laboratory setting.  Practitioners have an opportunity to collaborate with other infectious diseases and microbiology clinicians in Regina and Saskatoon.

Qualifications:

Candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification in Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with a minimum of two years subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases.  Additionally, the candidate must eligible for a license to practice in Saskatchewan.
